France, here we come! We're going to a very luxurious little house, with everything but an internet-connection. Maybe I'll add some pictures and a note when I find a hotspot somewhere. Otherwise I hope to see you again after the tenth of august.
Taking some time off
France, here we come! We're going to a very luxurious little house, with everything but an internet-connection. Maybe I'll add some pictures and a note when I find a hotspot somewhere. Otherwise I hope to see you again after the tenth of august.
Just in case
As from tomorrow we will be spending some time in France. For this purpose I made some safety-bracelets for our daughters. It would be impossible for them to communicate in french when they get lost. They wouldn't even understand when they were asked for their name. The girls love to wear their new bracelets and we can be a bit more relaxed.
Have a nice day!
Happy Birthday, Sara!
Janne just left for Sara's party. As a present she brought this treasure-box, filled with goodies. Sara's mother wanted to order a stamp earlier. I asked her to wait a few more weeks, because one of the treasures in this box is a personalized stamp. The flower on top of the present is again made with this tutorial.
Picnick
The thriftstore in our village is a great source of vintage goods. Almost every time I go there I find something really amazing. This time I came across a big handmade quilt.Perfect for our holiday-picnicks. I'm almost ashamed to tell you that I bargained about the price: I got it for €10 instead of €15.
Been busy
Right in the middle of our holiday-preparations my aunt brought us a bucket filled with 5 kilo prunes. If we could do something with those. Yes, of course. We made jam, sauce, confit and a prune-cake to give back to my aunt. And for the adhesives I made a little prune-stamp. All in one day! Pffff...
Vacation is almost there
During lunchtime at work I came across this Kaleidocycle-template. Just upload 4 pictures and you can print out your own. I found this fun project on the link-page of Mojo & Co. A very beautiful selection of links to blogs and tutorials.
Without the kids
Although the reason for going to Amsterdam, a reservation in this interesting restaurant, was cancelled, we went to the big city anyway. Shopping, eating, relaxing. Finally I went to the little shop of Vivian Hahn (haarlemmerdeijk 102). It was on my wishlist to go there for a long time. She sells beautiful ceramics and cutlery. I gave myself this wonderful plate from Mara Skujeniece.
Appelhartje 2
Earlier I showed you some details of this doll. Eva has celebrated her birthday last weekend (congratulations!) and received this present from her grandmother. I hope 'Apple-heart' will become her favorite softy.

Two weeks to go
Taking pictures is hot in our house. Both girls take 'pretend-pictures' all the time. So we thought it would be nice to give them their own (very cheap, and pink!) digital camera for our holidays in France. Of course the pink plastic pouch that came with the camera's was not acceptable and I had to sew these cozy's.
In pink
Yeah, my first drop for the Toy Society has been found! Little rainbow has found a new home with a three month old baby-boy. Time for another drop, another Rainbow. This afternoon we left it in the parking space of the local hospital.

We love her
This week it is going to rain
Not much crafting going on here. Too warm. But I did go to the thriftstore last week. And I found these wonderful plates. Dutch and French antique. And no I didn't need more plates, but they will look so lovely on my earlier thrifted embroidered table-clothes. The French beans are from our own garden.
You too!
These baby-caps are already on their way to India (via Texas, US). Craft Hope has a project collecting caps, booties and blankets for childrens homes over there. For these beanies I used the pattern of a similar project at Mama to Mama. They take just 5 minutes to make.
