Fear of failure

We're preparing N's 7th birthday. Invitations had to be made. She choose 'India' as theme, because she wants a bindi on her forehead. I asked her to draw an Indian girl. Without trying she said that she wasn't able to do so. Slightly irritated I told her to try. She started crying. To get out of the deadlock I persuaded her to make a collage after an existing picture with me. Turned out really good. While I was glueing the collage to a piece of paper, she took a pen and drew this perfect Indian girl. Today we will hand out the invitations with her drawing on it.

Gosh she's talented! My 7.5 year old isn't even close to that level of sophistication.
