Retraite

I always liked to embroider, but the results were always rather slovenly. There's nothing dowdy about Tilleke Schwartzs' work though. When I saw she would be giving workshops I immediately enrolled for last weekend. And it was well worth the two-hour drive to the Karmel Cloister in Drachten. Two days of collaging, designing, embroidering and spending time with Tilleke and the other participants brought back my enthusiasm for my secret (embroidery is not so sexy) teenage hobby! There will be another workshop in april. When you are a secret of not-so-secret embroiderer, looking for inspiration, I can recommend it.

That sounds wonderful, and your embroidered piece looks fantastic. I have never embroidered, but I took a collection of embroidery materials on our holiday a couple of weeks ago, thinking I'd spend the evenings teaching myself from online tutorials. Turned out there was no internet connection... very disappointing!

Wow mooi hoor!
