I know, Vlijtig has turned into a cooking, baking and preserving blog. It's only temporary though. I just have to work myself through 12 kilo's of plums (please send me your favourite recipes), lots of figs and courgette after courgette. Apples and pears are now ripening and the first plastic bag filled with fallen apples is already waiting in the kitchen to be turned into apple sauce. Here you see the fig-almond cake I baked for my parents, the providers of all the delicious fruits and vegetables.
