Waiting for Sint to come

It was a short day at school for the girls because of Sinterklaas yesterday. We had eaten a lot of spice nuts already, but saved our favourite recipe for last. We love the addition of the speculaas spices, extra cardamom and orange peel in the dough. Usually we only bake the plain spice nuts, but this time we followed the complete recipe. With the golden sprinkled chocolate on top the nuts would make a nice Christmas snack for the kids too.
