We've already started to prepare J's eleventh birthday party in march. It is going to be a Selfie party. There's a jeu de mots in it, because the Dutch word for eleven is 'elf'. I worked out a programm for us in the Noordbrabants museum, with three activities around the theme of (self)portraits. Last week I made a test film. Because one of the activities is a stop motion film.
You can see it here. I had planned to use facial parts from magazines to cover up her own face, but had no apt magazines. What I did have were pages with flowers and birds to cut from. Turned out pretty nice too, I think.

Wat een fantastisch cadeau voor J! De stopmotion is entertaining. Maak jij zelf programma's voor het NB Museum? Wij hebbben hier in Rotterdam Villa Zebra; een museum waar interactieve tentoonstellingen over beeldende kunst worden gemaakt voor kinderen. Ik vind dit echt een project voor hen.....

Prachtig! Vorige week toevallig ook gezien bij een collega. De kinderen maakten de foto's met de telefoon. Heel erg leuk! De jongeren waren ook heel erg enthousiast.
