Not too sweet
I've been baking scones like these since I was a student. So simple, so little time, so delicious. If you want to try: Stir 250gr of self-raising flour, 30gr cold butter in small pieces, 2 tablespoons of sugar,a pinch of salt and 125ml sour cream or butter milk into a crumbly mixture. Add one egg and knead until it becomes a ball of dough. Roll a 2cm thick layer and punch out circles of 5cm. 25 minutes in an oven of 200C. Serve with clotted cream or mascarpone and jam. Eat when they are slightly warm!
